Maytag became a pioneer producer of washing machines on the American market. The electric goods producer started its commercial way, manufacturing and selling washers at its own factory. Later, Maytag established a strong reputation, helping the US army - the Maytag factory was used for producing parts of military guns during World War II.

Maytag paid much attention to producing innovative products and upgrading the existing technologies. Its first automatic washing machine was sold in 1907. The machine was presented as an addition to the farm line and was aimed to make the farming routine easier. In the same years machines become used for households.

Maytag is one of a few companies with more than a century-long history under the same name. The brand stays one of the most recognizable in the USA and is extremely popular worldwide.
